Sekolah Seni Johor Bahru and the Japan Club of Johor in collaboration with the organisers of the 8th JB Arts Festival have put together an evening in remembrance of the victims of the Japanese Tsunami in March 2011. Sekolah Seni Johor Bahru will present a poetry recital by the Assistant Principal, Encik Abd. Jabar b. Shain and a poetry drama reenactment.

The Japan Club of Johor presents WADAIKO SYO, performers featuring the Japanese drum or TAIKO.

WADAIKO SYO is a group of music performers featuring the Japanese drum or TAIKO. The group was founded by Mr. Nakanishi Takayuki in Malaysia 6 years ago with the aim of broadening the public interest in Japanese drums.

The group actively composes and performs unique melodies in all its Japanese drum performances. WADAIKO SYO has not only performed in Malaysia but also widely in the Far East sharing the sound of the Japanese drum to people of all ages and cultures.
